Black Mesa

I just saw this trailer for a fan made remake of Half-Life 1 using the source engine. I guess it has been in development for almost 4 years now, and the new trailer they just released looks amazing. It might be worth another play through the game (my 4th time?) Ignore the white space below; I'm too tired to figure out how to make it go away right now.

P.S. Our new TV comes Thursday, so I'll post pictures of the new home theater and our Christmas tree sometime after that

I've been keeping half on eye on the development of this thing for a couple of years now. I'm always amazed to see that they're still making progress. Let's hope they keep that 2009 date.

Me too. The two biggest drawbacks are that it's updating a 10 year old game to a 5 year old engine (albeit a modified source engine) and re-recording the voices. Despite that, I'm still really excited for this.

I really like some of those scientist models. Half-life 1 always held a certain sci-fi charm and mystery that I feel none of the sequels managed to re-create. It looks like the designer added in a lot more dramatic sequences.
