Gone Forever

My green mountain bike was stolen last week. I kept it locked up on the first floor of our parking garage. A few days ago Lisa and I parked right in front of where it should have been, and all we found was the clipped lock. I received the bike as a birthday present almost nine years ago, so maybe it was time to move on. Luckily, I have kept my nice road bike inside the apartment, and now I think it will stay that way year round. Oh the bitterness of big city crime!

Keith,

That sucks. Before you blame the big city, remember that Philip had his bike stolen from the Amberly bike rack. But either way, it still sucks.

Bummer - but the only time I had something stolen was from the farm house we rented in Lowell (way out in the country). Crime is everywhere. Just keep an eye on the expensive bike!!

When I went and bought my bike, they had me get a lock that's better than those cable locks. You might be okay to leave it outside if you get a U-lock.

You should also make sure you have tires that can't be removed. They make special lock thingies for the wheels.
